Hi folks, another question regarding subwoofer placement in a room.
I've got a relatively small room, about 13x20 in dimension, and really there are only two spots I can place the subwoofer.
One is about 5 feet into the room, 2 feet in front of the fronts, firing perpendicular to them, i.e. directly 'across the bow'.
The other option is along the same wall, same orientation, but about 15 feet back into the room, about 3/4ths of the way to the back of the room.
Please pardon the horrifying colours in the attached GIFs... but the two big red boxes are about where the sub will go in the two different layouts.
Is there any reason a subwoofer needs to be closer to the mains than further away? Is there a benefit to moving it towards the back?
Unfortunately these are really the only two positions I can place this behemoth PB13, and really the only orientation that makes sense, firing into the room from the side wall.
Any help would be appreciated!
