does anybody know of a computer program or external box that could be used to ajust convergence? ive searched around on download.com and google with no luck. i figured if anyone out there knew it would be you guys. :D

At one time I did some searching around and did not find anything. With all the odd stuff out there, you would think there would be a software program that could control the coordinates of the RGB colors. There would probably be all kinds of uses for it in the art industry.

The ACON option for NEC PG series is PC software and a specific frame grabber coupled to any NTSC video camera.
I've also seen some VERY exotic controllers for Barco/SEOS VR projectors that will converge a single CRT then set up a six-sided hex blend!

Nothing generic, unfortunately, altho Tse was experimenting with a fine-convergence system with a cheap camera very near the screen coupled to an o'scope... Very simple system: When the voltage from the cameras' output was at max, all three colors were perfectly converged (max briteness corresponds to max (perfect) convergence.)
