Any predictions on when (or if) Mitsubishi and Samsung DLP's will reach the 80" screen size? When I purchased my 1080p 61" Samsung, there were only 720p 71" DLP sets on the market. Now a couple years later we are only up to 74" in screen size.

It seems that they are only increasing by an inch each year, with Mitsubishi always having a 1" advantage over the Samsungs. (Okay perverts, get your mind out of the gutter :D ) Will we ever see 80" DLP TVs from Mitsubishi or Samsung?

TVs that size start to pose logistical problems. e.g., I don't think I can get an 80" up my stairs (corners). It'd have to be hoisted with a crane. So it'll be very niche. With RPTVs losing popularity in favor of flat panels, we may never see it.

I'd love to see a 74" laser dlp at ~$3500 this Christmas.

Mitsubishi made an 82" LCOS. Seems like it's time to make another 82"er to me. Now that would justify a premium for their laser set.
