Is this projector complementing your efforts or is it a competing product?

This is Barco's 2kw response to the Christie cp2000m. Except being in the DP series chassis [it allows more room to access for aperture reductions]. So although probably similarly priced than the christie it will have Barco's superior software control and modularity. I only hope they lower them darn fans from the 65 db level.

Remeber this is a servo zoom lens which alows aspect ratio changes from 1.77 to 2.76 , or if you just want to use the sweet zone of the lens range then it can be used to go from 1.77 to 2.40 with extraordinary resolution and MTF.

So you are not expecting this Barco to be a "superkontrast" projector even though it might be aimed at post production?

This will be the superkontrast-lite. :D
