I'm moving into my very first home (very excited to own my own :D ) and I could use some help picking out a LCD TV stand.

Basically i'm planning on buying either a Samsung LN52A750 or a Pioneer PDP-6020FD Plasma, it really comes down to how big the room feels once i see furniture in it.

I've been looking around at a few different entertainment centers and have come to the conclusion that I'm an awful judge of furniture quality in this area. So I turn to you guys, with the hope you can inspire my imagination and give me some ideas by making suggestions on quality brands or showing me your setups.

Also, anyone that owns the Samsung, does the "touch of color red" bother you? It seems distracting in the pictures, but things have a tendency to stand out more in low quality jpegs.

Congratulations on your new home!

I own a Samsung A650 and let me tell you, the Touch of Red doesn't bother me a bit. I hardly even notice it to tell you the truth.

As far as entertainment centers go, I'm having a hard time myself finding a cabinet that meets my needs! So far, the 2 brands that have caught my eye have been the Salamander stands (pricy) and Sanus stands (less costly, but perhaps lower build quality? I never actually saw one in person). I also saw that IKEA offers entertainment centers that are fairly easy to customize. You can mix and match shelves, legs, and doors fairly easily among their Besta lineup. Hope this helps!
