I don't have the 890, but when I go into the software for my 670, Remote Settings, Display Settings, Glow Setup, I have mine set for Interactive Display Buttons. The back light will only work if the keys on the LCD screen are used, and perhaps some others like Next. If it is set to Any Button, pressing any button should cause it to come on. If it is set to None, it should not come on no matter which button is pushed. It should only work if the Glow button is pushed. If you have it set up correctly, there may be a problem with your remote and you may have to call Harmony support. bucnasty 06-13-08, 09:01 PM correct, you can modify how long the backlights and LCD sty on using the harmony software. also, shake the remote. if nothing at all happens, it means the remote has frozen and will either reset itself or you will need to take the battery out and put it back in. all your settings will stay the same but the clock will reset to 12:00 sunday (oh well). if this doesnt work, try another update and go from there. But the reason I was asking is if it worked with the Glow button, but not the keys, it could indicate that the Glow Setup might be set to None or Interactive Display. chinaclipper 07-08-08, 11:40 AM The backlight is not working for the keys Harmony 890.
