I bought a Mitsubishi WD-52631 a little over a year ago. I couldn't be happier with the performance and the picture.

Tonight when I came home from work and turned it on to play some GTA IV I had a large distorted black area on the screen. I have attached pictures below. You will see one picture of the TV off and the discolored area is still visible.

The TV was fine when I used it last night, but we did have our maid come clean the place today. I know for a fact that she did clean over in that area and around the TV itself.

The strange thing is that if it was hit, then there isn't any visible marks or dents on the outside of the screen. It's all internal.

Based on the pictures below, can anyone give me any indication that this might be something that has happened before to someone else? Or is this a case of someone being reckless?
