Hello, I am in the process of setting up a Samsung TH-50PZ85U in our livingroom. This is the debate, we are in a new house that has the cutout for a tv above the fireplace. The problem is this , the bottom of the tv would be about 65" off the ground. I think that is way too high, ironicly wife thinks its okay. Probably doesn't matter but we are both over 6' tall. Would this thing be too high? I have considered slightly tilting it downward off the wall mount that I would use but that could be problematic viewing whenever you walk around the tv-glare etc. Any input would be appreciated.

Welcome to the debate. Personally I think it's too high, but there are lots of other folks who wouldn't. I like to design/install things at a comfortable height where nobody's craning his/her neck trying to watch TV. You have to work with the space (and the wife) you have though, so...

Are you going to have a speaker setup as well. If your screen is high and your sound is low that will create a disconnect between the picture and sound.
