i'm on XP Home, sp3. i just built a new pc to run my media and whatnot. bought a microsoft mce remote with ir receiver. bit of a struggle but finally found out how to map keys to work correctly with my apps using eventghost
one problem i am coming across is that with media player classic, if i hit the left button on the remote to do a frame step reverse (which is mapped to the left arrow on the keyboard), mpc hangs and i have to end task to stop it. it's definitely the remote/receiver that causes the problem because i can do it on the keyboard with no problem. sometimes it takes 1 hit of the step to cause it to crash, other times it can go a bit longer, maybe 10 or so frames. it's really random how much before it does.
no other buttons cause the crash, just this one.
any ideas on why this is, and how to fix it? please let me know if you need some sort of log from me to help diagnose.
