I have 2 video sources, HDDVD and HTPC. Both are connected to the same input(INPUT A) via Autopatch 1YDM. 1YDM is just a video matrix distribution box. Anyways, I was able to figure out the almost exact refresh rate that HDDVD uses at 1080i. I used that same refresh rate on my htpc. Here is the problem. When I switch sources on the 1YDM, the video shifts to the right about 2 to 3 inches when I select HTPC.

This behavior is different when refresh rates are not the same. Previously, when the refresh rate on my HTPC wasn't the same as the HDDVD, the screen would go up, expand, go down and finally, stable. Sometimes, it would move diagonally about 2 inches. It would do this behavior again when I switch back to HDDVD. It also takes 3 seconds before it becomes stable. About the former behavior(mentioned above), the video is switched in just half a second. It's very quick. No movements, nothing at all but it gets shown exactly 2 inches away from where the HDDVD picture was.

What could this be? Oh one more, pressing SHIFT will not help since both are on the same INPUTS. If I SHIFT while I am on HTPC, the setting will also take effect when I switch back to HDDVD.

It's not really annoying since it's just 2 inches. But it would be really nice if I can fix it so that it lands both perfectly on the center of the screen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
