I had to share this with you guys: We're building a house with a dedicated home theater and, to date, my wife has been on my case for spending an inordinate amount of time auditioning gear, meeting with the installer and on this forum. However, to my surprise, she and the kids gave me a 6oz Great American Popcorn Co table top popper for fathers day. My 3 year old was the most excited yelling: "It's for our featre dad". It's nice to know everyone's fired up about it.
Happy Father's day to all you dads!!!
Sounds great! We got my husband a six pack assortment of Dale and Thomas gourmet popcorn and a turntable to play all of our old albums (He hasn't seen it yet - the boys are still asleep!).
Way to go, Pam!
Any other cool dad's day gift stories out there?

My father's day gift was actually yesterday. I am primarily a stay-at-home dad (I work 1 day a week as a physical therapist), so my gift was that my wife took my daughters to see their great-grandmother for the day. As my wife put it; "this way, you can watch some of your movies in your theater without the sound turned down". This is because lately our movie nights have been very tame Disney at less-than-reference levels. For instance, the last half of Mary Poppins was last Friday night's movie. That's what you have to do when you have 4 year old and 2 year daughters. My only other movie time is when they're taking naps or at night, and this room, being my last "temporary" room before I finish the basement, is not soundproofed.
I got to watch National Treasure 2 and Die Hard on BD, on my Panasonic ae1000u/106" Da-Lite, and actually got to feel the rumble of my subs! I knew there was a reason I bought the MFW-15's :D.

Similar here.
We had Belgian Waffles with Strawberries for brunch (my favorite) and then my wife told me she wants me to sit on the couch all day and watch the US Open.
Ah. Nice.
PS. We never exchange gifts (not birthdays or xmas). If either of us wants something, we just go buy it. We just buy gifts for the kids.

There were a couple of nice, small gifts that were well selected by the wife and kids (kids?....they're 25 and 22), and my wife did make me an excellent tri-tip roast for dinner. But they really knew how to float my boat by letting me enjoy the U.S.Open and the Celtics/Lakers on our 118" Carada / Black Pearl rig!
Congrats grisch.
I've owned a popper for about a year now but just purchased different types of popcorn seasoning for the first time last week. I'll have to say the whole family has renewed there interest in the popcorn again, each to there own favored seasoning now... Give it a try
