View Full Version : RTI T2+ .CML for KDL-52XBR4?

I have an RTI T2+ universal remote. Have checked all the sources I know of, e.g. Remote Central, RTI web site, Master Theater Builders, etc. for a command library (.cml) for my KDL-52XBR4. Anyone have one?

Or, just as effective, do you know which .cml or existing Sony panel has compatible command codes with the XBR4 panel?

Thanks!

Create a New program with a standalonr T2+, now start dragging IR codes from other models in the the 1 page it defaults to, load and test, if that set didnt work try another set until you get one that works

I keep a test program in My systems...all the remotes and no processor, then when I am on a job and need to test for codes I open the Testing program and open the remote I am programming for and start loading codes to test. when I find them I go back to my client program and open the working IR set I just tested

Should only take you a couple of minutes at most to find a set that works

Do you have the Mega 15 list??

Let me know if you need help

Thanks Glackowitz. Good suggestion, pretty much what I've been doing.

I have Mega 15. No cml for that specific panel, but found one in there that seems to work. Couple problems though: I've not found a discrete on/off for power, just the toggle <grrrrr>. I can deal with the flags but would prefer on/off. Also haven't found any good way to reliably select the inputs, e.g. HDMI1, HDMI2, etc.

As popular as that panel is, I figured there'd be a cml out there no sweat. What's up with that?

Since you can paste in codes which are in Pronto CCF format, get the sony KDSxxx upgrade from the jp1 site in my sig and see THIS (http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/mboard/rc-pronto/thread.cgi?27017) thread for converting hex to ccf. I have all the discrete power and input codes in my sony upgrade on the jp1 site. The only gotcha is that the commands are spread out over a couple of different protocols.

The RTI remotes are Hex capable, so he could just copy and paste in the IR library

OR I could do it and add it to the Mega 16 list...no eta on the release of 16 as I havent had many new codes to add

Correct I don't need to do the CCF step, although an RMDU to CML converter would be quite convenient. ;-) You're saying I can paste in CCF codes directly into RTI Integration Designer 6.01 (specifically the IR Library Manager)? Best I can tell I can only Import .CML files.

Now I just have to learn how to do that and the hex stuff. Or maybe just get an IR capture device and do it myself.

Are we having fun yet?

Thanks guys, found the links, will play with it.

<Dang, the Sony code lists are prodigious!>

To put Hex in the IR library open the IR library manager, then you will need to create a new remote...Upper left corner you will see a little remote, click the remote to create a new ir file.

Enter the info in the pop up window

Now click the edit tab

enter the functions you want to have...POWER, CH +, CH -, 1, 2, ECT.....

Once you have all the functions entered, click on the hex view tab

Now click on the first Function in the lost, the Hex box will be empty so copy the hex from your list of hex codes and paste that function in the box, click apply and go to the next function and repeat
