I know this is a catalog “documentary” title so it won’t be that popular. However, is anyone interested in seeing a review for this title? Does anyone have it “On Blu-ray” yet?

I have the original 720p WMV-HD disc and it is absolutely stunning. Who would have ever thought surfing could be this amazing? I can’t imagine what 1080p will look like!

If no one posts anything, then I will try to compare it against the wmv-HD disc. I have a computer that is capable of playing both discs and I should be able to get a screen capture program to take some screen shots.

Anyone know the specs on this upcoming Blu-ray disc?

I watched this Blu-ray yesterday and I must say that this is a keeper. I have the original SD-DVD(480p), the HDNET(1080i) broadcast, and WMV-HD(720p) discs. None of them compare to this disc!

The 1080p provides so much more detail than I saw in any of the other copies. Even when the surfers look like specs next to the 60+ foot waves you can make out intricate details in the picture.

The audio is also better, although the WMV-HD disc had very high quality 5.1 channel audio(I believe it was the equivalent to DD+ but it was encoded in wma-pro).

Anyway, I give this Blu-ray a “10”. If you like surfing then you can’t miss this one!

I am hoping to get a chance to take screen captures comparing the 720p video in the wmv-HD disc to the Blu-ray. The difference is astounding. And I thought the WMV-HD disc was good before!
