The problem either lies solely with the TV, or with the TV and the Playstation 3.
To make a long story short, I recently picked up a PS3 and have it connected via HDMI. Everything works fine *Except* for the PS2 emulation. After the PS3 loads up the PS2 game (and, I assume switches resolutions a few times judging by the amount of times the screen flicker) certain color gradient lines have a smattering of green pixels that follow the gradient.
The reason why I don't believe the issue is with the PS3 only is because once this happens it occurs across *all* connections and any other system I connect. Once I attempt to play a PS2 game via the PS3 the TV does this regardless of whether the input is for a PS3, Xbox 360, PS2, or even regular TV (via coaxial). It is also not the HDMI cable, as the same thing occurs if I have the PS3 connected via composite.
The ONLY way to solve this problem is by powering down the TV and unplugging it. Turning it on/off does not fix the issue, only a complete cutting of power (after it has powered down itself, of course) solves the issue (until I do the same thing again...).
I really don't know what to make of this...or what's to blame here. Considering that the TV does it across every input after it occurs, I can only assume it is an issue with the TV. I've got a month left on my warranty so I guess I should start calling service places; I guess I should look at the TV first.
Anyone have any ideas? It would be greatly appreciated!
