Anyone renting their blue-ray discs from Netflix? I am thinking about trying their service; but wonder about their selection.

The selection is great, but the wait times are not. But they seem to favor new members, so you'll be alright.

Nothing wrong with Netflix BD rentals, if you don't mind waiting 6+ months for popular new releases.

For example, in two days, I will have been waiting exactly six months for Blade Runner to become available (and it still isn't).

Perhaps BD availability varies somewhat by region of the country. They seem to have a strong preference for shipping to/from your nearest distribution point. During the past year, I've had very few titles ship from elsewhere.

On that note, I've had very good results with BD titles, even new releases, allowing of course, for occasional "throttling", which seems to apply across the board, whether BD or DVD.
