I currently own a Cerwin Vega e 76C center and am thinking of getting a JBL LC2 for $250 US shipped.

I notice both are 92db and both cut at 50hz. THe JBL has a higher end but I don't think it would be audible/noticeable. I like the fact that it is the studio L series from JBL and I like JBL's 4-way design versus the CV 3-way. I would like your advice on whether to keep the Cerwin Vega or get the JBL.

What would you reccommend

My current set up is Yamaha HTR6080 at 7.1, Matching Mission front towers and rears, Polk Audio RTi4 at the side and a JBL L8400P sub.

Thanks in advance

Your front three speakers need to match tonally. So, either get a Mission center that matches the fronts, or buy all new mains and center from the same line.

P.S. If the above answer does not satisfy you, go out and listen to centers (and their matching mains), buy the center you like the best, then buy matching mains when you can.
