Been browsing the forum for info on what are some good flat on the wall speakers and people have mentioned titan and evolution but they are way out of my budget. Looking to spend around $1000 total for the 5.1 and need something that will be low profile and on the wall since i am an appartment dweller and the primary listening area is flush agaisnt the wall. Most of what see people recommending is good towers with bookshelves all matched, but since I need the low profile rears are there any manufacturers that have something that may fit my needs in my budget.

These are the cheapest on-walls I've seen:

You'd have enough left over for a good sub from HSU, SVS, Outlaw Audio etc.

+1 and by far the best bang for the buck. I just recommended the RBH versions to a friend. They are $119 each but have 4 4" aluminum drivers. These are nice also and cant be beat for $100.

Just keep in mind they are not the most efficient speaker and are 6 ohms and are silver.

sweet advice, both the EWs and RBHs look like exactly what i'm needing. is there going to be a big difference between the sizes so that i should get them all the same height or can i go say 35" center, 30" fronts, 24" rears? Also the RBH seem a little better but the rotating mount on the EWs seem to make them a better choice for my rears, can i mix the two brands and use RBH for front/center and EWs for rears?

Thanks again

How about 2 pairs of MMGW and an MMGC from Magnepan?

Sizes wont make a difference as drivers dont change. You could mix as I dont think its the end of the world but the RBH and EW use different drivers. I think you will be ok.

Good deal on those for $300 pair. They are 5ohm though and are probably better to push with a seriously stable amp. Great speaker at that price though. I would love to hear them.

Bleh, now after browsing the forum for last few days i'm thinking i should get bookshelves instead. The infinty betas are around the same price @ $100 a piece. How do you think a set of beta 20 fronts, C250 center, and 10 rears would compare sound wise?

Check out the JBL L810 and L820's. They have great reviews and can be had on ebay from Harman Audio cheap.
