I'm finally divorcing my music from my HT system and starting a dedicated two-channel rig, and thought I'd appeal to the collective wisdom in my hunt for speakers. Because I hate open-ended "What speaker should I get?" threads, I'll try to give as much specific information as possible:

Gear the speakers will be mated with:
SimAudio Moon I-3 SE integrated amp
Cambridge Audio 840c CD player
Benchmark DAC1 fed by my computer
- all connected with Signal Cables silver resolution cables

I listen to primarily jazz, classical, and bluegrass. I have a relatively small room that's prone to bass bloom. The room currently has a pair of Monitor Audio RS6s in it, and the bass is a bit much for the room. Consequently, I'm probably shooting for a pair of bookshelf monitors rather than floorstanders. I've also used a pair of RS1s in the room, which sounded lovely; I can just afford an upgrade, so I'll take it.

Lastly, I'd like to keep the budget under $2,500-ish.

Hope that's enough specific info for folks; I truly appreciate any and all suggestions.

I bet you're from head-fi.org, no?
Anyway, I have these (http://www.selahaudio.com/id124.html) speakers, and they are made by a very experienced and skilled designer who uses the best (http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=930) drivers (http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=132&products_id=8360) out there (http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=173&products_id=784) and charges (http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=562) very low markup. Apart from the speakers I own, his other monitor (http://www.selahaudio.com/id53.html) is also (http://209.85.165.104/search?q=cache:mekIW0VQgOoJ:www.audiocircle.com/circles/index.php%3Ftopic%3D42175.0%3Bwap2+selah+tanzanite+%22Author +estimates&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=us) fantastic (http://www.audioreview.com/cat/speakers/bookshelf-speakers/selahaudio/tanzanite/PRD_412065_4290crx.aspx).
Apart from that I would recommend a few other (http://www.salksound.com/ht2.shtml) designs (http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=173&products_id=385) that use similar parts (http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=173&products_id=392), the kits include the cabinets making the assembly easy for anyone.
Everything I suggested is not widely known or discussed, nevertheless I have a firm belief that it stands a few levels above of 99% of similarly priced and widely discussed speakers. The Thor kit from madisound is regarded as one of the best of all speakers at any price, by some hardcore audiophiles.

I just bought a pair 2 weeks ago for a music only 2 channel system, they are very, very, nice.

I would wager though, that even the cheapest speaker (http://www.selahaudio.com/id124.html) in my post would most likely beat the Tiny Dancer Be-718, at a bit over half the price with free shipping. Apart from the sonic signature/personal taste that is. Don't mean to offend anyone, but I wish someone did a shootout.

I second that. It's a no-compromise speaker at a reasonable price. Problem is you may want to check the dimensions as it's bigger than most bookshelves, more like a real tower without the lower half.

Btw, I had the Moon integrated, isn't it a bit bright?

Is it? I demoed it with a pair of small Rega bookshelves fed by an Apollo, and it sounded very nice. But if you've got some other suggestions, I'd love to hear them; I haven't purchased the Sim yet.
