Hi all,

I just bought a toshiba 50h71 with a converngence problem for $100. i found the IC's on ebay for $6 each. They were the STK392-110. I was just wondering if anyone knows of upgrades to these older units so that they don't have to be replaced again in a few years. Also if anyone would happen to know which resistors/compasistors would need to be replaced along with the ic's. From what I have read they commonly burn open when the ic's go out. Any help with this would be greatly appriciated. Images or diagrams welcome. Can never have too much info.

The STK392-110's are replaced by Stk394-160E. They must Sanyo made, not aftermarket. They are easier to buy in a Hitachi kit where you can get 2 for around 25.00. I dont have the part number in front of me but if you cant find them, then post back and I'll look it up. As far as resistors you will have to test the ones in the area unless you can find someones post that may be specific for your model tv.There are some sites that post a step by step with pics for various model tv's but may not be your specific set. Google your model number and you may find them.
