I read a good deal on this forum about plasma vs. lcd and I think I'm leaning towards a plasma. So what is the best buy for me around $1000? Need at least 37" and I'm not sure how far I will be sitting from it (for new appartment probably 8-10 ft).
Ideas I have from around the forum:
1. Panasonic 42px80u
2. Samsung pn42a450

Also I will probably be buying off ebay to make use of the live.com and paypal deals to bring the price down to around $700. Anyone have experience buying from beyond plasmas, they seem reasonable after looking around a bit?

Thanks,
B

Seconded. Read the owner's thread for the px80u and you will find it is a really great set for the price.....especially for first time HDTV buyers.
