No, it's cheaper. Still not a great deal, imo.

well, I don't think it's a bad deal. I'd think $400 would be a better deal, though. They really can't do that as it will devalue the PS3 brand or whatever marketing rationale Sony thinks up.

Basically, if the gunmetal is worth $50 go for it.

The value in this is the collector status. Collectors tend to shy away from any modifications even when the modification improves the unit.

No question I would pick up the limited unit... if I were in the market. However, I already have 2 PS3s and MGS4, and that is a problem for this unit. I think that most people who would have been in the market for a limited MGS4 PS3.... already own a PS3 and MGS4.

I'm not sure what you were getting at here but the Gunmetal 40GB is the same hardware as the old 40GB and the new 80GB, none have BC. The only difference is the color and HDD size.

I was just saying that both the 80 and 40 dont have BC, so the only difference is the Hard drive size

I just picked this up as my 60G PS3 broke. The paint is flat so fingerprints won't be a problem; scratches won't be as noticable either, unless they take the paint.

Considering ebay auctions (completed) are $60+ for the game and $100+ for the controller, this is an amazing deal.

Why would anyone sell their Kojima PS3 Bundle controller? It matches the console perfectly, and looks hella cool... I don't get it. :confused:

I'm saying you could. Now that I see how awesome the controller is I don't plan to sell it. I'll sell the game eventually, though.

I'm actually thinking of selling my 60GB (when it's fixed) and keeping this one. It also weighs 4lb less!

I bought mine at amazon for $399.99 w/free shipping just a week ago. I figure I'll upgrade the HD later.
