I see this is getting a release in the UK and was interested in importing it, but I figured I would check with you guys about wether or not it will play in my US PS3. Does anyone know?

P.S. I'm not looking for opinions on how much you disliked this movie, and how much it sucks compaired to Night/Dawn/Day, thanks :)

Are any of the other Dead movies on Blu-Ray? I've got Land Of The Dead and the remake of Dawn Of The Dead on HD DVD so it's just the others I want.

According to BlurayRegionCodes.com, Optimum Entertainment has 1 region free and 2 region coded releases out. So I'm not going to take my chances - I'll wait for someone to test this. Really hoping it's region free, but there's a good chance it won't be.

Yep, the original Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead are available on BD.

Cool, thanks. :) Why weren't they released on HD DVD too though? Aren't they all released by the same company?

Doesn't 1 studio own the Dead franchise? (Except for the original Night Of The Living Dead which is apparently public domain because George Romero forgot to copyright it or something like that.)

Dawn and Day are by Anchor Bay/Starz
Land is by Universal

Oh, OK. I just assumed they'd all be from one studio.

I'm hoping Weinstein releases this on Blu-ray when they release (rumored) the original NotLD on BD this fall. I saw it last week and loved it. It's tied for 2nd place with "Night" for me right behind the original "Dawn". Can't wait for Diary 2 which, according to the one sheet, is coming later this year.

So it looks like this movie will be released domestically on the 21st. I rented it today but I probably won't get around to watching it until Sunday night.

Best Buy sold me the US version last week. Looks as good as Cloverfield to me.

The blood in this movie was really bad cgi. How does it look on the BD? I'm thinking it will look even worse.

It look even worse. I just donīt understand why so many movies these days use CGI blood. Blood costs almost nothing to make.
Itīs just lazy.

But whatīs even worse is the acting ;)

is this one of those cloverfield type movies where you are watching the movie through the eyes of a video camera?

I saw this in theater and thought it was good despite it being a "smaller" film than Romero's other Dead movies. The PQ should be on par with Cloverfield but with better camerawork.

Well, when you record something via a handheld...you are not still. I mean, if you can walk, and not move the camera in slightest way, or run...well, you are pretty damn special.
