It says it's 3.1mp and that looks pretty good to me, but my friends said otherwise. Doesn't the quality mostly depend on the lens and how the camera compresses the video? My friends digital camera doesn't have that high of an mp but because it uses a huge memory card each picture is like 3-5mb they are an awesome quality.
The ebay item in that link says it can record really high res videos, but since I'm no expert, I wanna ask you guys. Will I get good quality audio and video with this cheap ass thing?
=/ 50 views but no response? Surely one of you guys knows whether or not I'll get some good video quality with this.

The missing piece is the url for Ebay. I guess this site auto censors the url for some reason. don't do www, just type in ebay dot com. I'm sorry if what I'm doing is against the ToS mods, I'm new here, but I just want people to see if this is a good deal or not.
I'm in this kind of mindset right now: I either want the Canon HG10 or a more expensive/better HD camera with a HDD, or the cheapest ass camcorder that can still record with a good quality. It mentions really really high resolutions but on the picture it says 320x240 on the side of the camera. I'm hoping it's just talking about how it looks on it's LCD or something... It's really confusing me, but then again I guess it would make sense.... I dunno. I'm still under the impression that it's all about the quality of the lens and how the video is compressed and saved onto the tape, CD, flash card, or HDD.
Just so I'm clear, can you guys get the link to work?

It says Short Movie:320 x 240. Who knows what that translates to, without having the owner's manual?
It will take pictures at 4 times that resolution, but with a fixed lens, you have no optical zoom. Additionally, there's no provision for a strap, only a lanyard hook, so you'll have to work out how to best hold and not 'shoot' your pinky finger!
At this price, the USB will be ver. 1.1, meaning a slow connection via your computer. You'd need a card reader to work quickly.
Personally, I'd consider a digital camera that also records video. Here's an example of one that would be $20 more(estimated with S&H), give you an optical zoom, high speed usb, expandable to high capacity memory card, and gives you the option of recording over an hour of 320 x 240 at 30 fps.

It is the first one I found, so there's probably better deals out there.
With your eBay choice, you're getting a toy that will only be usable as such.
The other option is a decent point-and-shoot camera that can do video with a better result.
