I just got a PS3 to play Blu-rays and I bought two movies. 2001 seemed odd in that when I put the bluray in, I'll get an FBI warning, the WB logo, then (I believe) the movie just starts.
Is there several minutes of just eerie music on a black screen prior to the MGM logo? I'd assume so because the scene selections show a black screen for the first one.
This would be all well and good, but I don't ever seem to get a top menu. (Well that's not entirely true, if I am in the movie and I hit "top menu" I get the "extras" menu once I have used it with the pop-up menu.) I loaded up my other Blu-Ray and it worked fine. The reason I'm asking is that don't I have to go into some options scene on the top menu to set up PCM 5.1 vs DD 5.1?
I can hit the (I think) square button the PS3 controller to bring up the popup menu where I can go see the "extras" and a few other things, but no where in there could I find where you set up the sound options.
Am I just a moron?
