i have a marantz sr7001 and i was playing drake's fortune on ps3, i have all my connections through hdmi, and on the options menu i selected pcm 7.1, but i am not getting any sound out the rear speakers. also the display box on the reciever is not showing any speakers lit up.

however if i choose 5.1 i get the display box to show the speakers lit up on the reciever.

it is almost like my reciever can't decode 7.1 surround sound through pcm, but im pretty sure it should be able to.
