All this running off little BLADE machines. What will happen when running off a Mainframe. (Netflix,Blockbuster,Time Warner,ATT.. etc)

They don't run mainframes. They'll distribute from multiple servers in multiple locations for redundancy.

File serving is the easy part, and frankly it doesn't take much horsepower for that. The real "heavy lifting" is in the encoding which will be on dedicated boxes.

The mainframe is a server. It can be partition into LPARS. These LPARS would be small subservers. 2 mainframe in the same room is called a local Parllel SYSPLEX. when one mainframe server is in one city running up to 32 LPARS is connected to another mainframe server in other cities it is called a geographically dispersed Parallel Sysplex (GDPS). the processor inside these machines would be Cell Processors. your Blu Ray or old Hd-DVD player already have Cell processor in them. they would become media servers. Netflix,ATT,Blockbuster,Time Warner woulc have these machine and just serve the HD content to you machine. The Cell Processors on the mainframe and Blu Ray\HD DVD machine would handle the codec processing. Encoding would occur on the Mainframe\Unix\Blade machine while the Blu Ray\HD DVD media server would do it part to display the signal. This is already being done to do real time HD streaming of Nuclear Power plant monitoring in certain areas of the containment building.
