i recently bought a panasonic HS dlash drive camcorder that records in AVCHD. it is a royal pain in the you know what trying to convert it and get it to dvd and it supposedly records in h.264 but it really doesnt becasue all the files it records are not playable on my pc as they are. they will only play using the panny software. can someone point me in the direction of a camcorder (doesnt have to be hi def that records onto hard disk drive (hdd) or flash drive (sd preferably) and can record in mpeg4 of h.264 and have it actually record in that format so when i transfer it to pc it is actually playable on the pc, AND can be burned to dvd as well? am i asking too much?
