I updated my Harmony 890 and extender on Friday and noticed there was going to be downtime/maintenance over the weekend. On Sunday I made some more tweaks (getting ready for some Z-wave dimmers) and tried to update again. Now the software starts updating the extender and at the point 0% would start to increase I get a blank page that says something like "unable to display content" with a back button. It then puts me back to the activities screen.
I tried again Monday night and it did the same thing. I went to firmware update and it was able to complete the firmware process on the remote and extender. The firmware update has the same type of screen as the software upload that was failing after 0%. I then uninstalled the software from the laptop and downloaded the latest which I was already using. The software installed and checked for updates and ended up at the same version (7.3?). Anyway, it continued to fail the update process.
Anyone else update their 890 or other Harmony remote after Sunday's downtime?

The timing of the Harmony web site maintenance is odd, but I did have this problem once.
It was because I had an activity that contained commands pointing to a device that I had removed. When the website went to compile my recipe to download to the remote, it displayed this exact message.
Second level phone support caught the issue for me.
Seems like the the web site sftware should be smarter about trapping such mismatches and generating a more meaningful error...

Thanks, I'll check my activities. I did go into each of my devices since my last update and hit Troubleshoot at which point it said that there was an update for the device or not. I updated all my devices which causes a new device to be created and deleted the old ones. I may have left an activity hanging on to a deleted device.
I'm not sure if updating my devices was such a great idea because I seemed to have lost a few commands. For instance my Onkyo 805 had some direct surround mode buttons such as Dolby Digital Mode, but the new device profile doesn't have this.
As long as I get it sorted out in the next couple days I'll be fine. My dimmer switches should be here today and I just have to install them and link it to my remote. I had a lamp switch that I set up and added to my activities, but after using it I don't think I want the scenes linked to activities. I've been trying to remove it through this update that won't work.

This is exactly how it happend to me. new device created, and I managed to not get all the activities moved over and I had deleted the "old" device.

I put in an 890 Pro and extender at a friend's place this weekend. No issues here, but I have done one before. I was also worried about the servers down issue on their website. Was not a problem.
Are they still running the Free Zwave stuff?

I solved my issue last night. It was my stupid Listen to Radio activity that was missing the updated AV Receiver. It said "Turn On AV Receiver" and then "Switch _________ to Tuner1". I went through setup again on the activity and now it says "Switch AV Receiver to Tuner1". The update completed and all is back to normal. I just assumed that the downtime had something to do with it since I had a successful update the day before the downtime and then my update failed right after the downtime.
Thanks again scaesare.
