Stopped powering up. No lights on the back panel. Where the heck is the primary fuse on this thing and how do you access it? Thanks for any help.

Thanks for any help. Curt Palme 06-25-08, 04:27 PM Chances are the main power supply has blown it's proprietary chips within the power supply and it has died. There is one fuse in teh SMPS, but guaranteed it's OK. I have one working GP3000 in minty shape left that I'll sell cheap if you're interested. I can try to repair the SMPS, but chances are I can sell you a whole other set for less than it would cost to repair the supply. jantje112 06-26-08, 06:18 AM Do a search in the archives. THe gp3000/5000 are known for this problem. No fix for it radeng9805 06-26-08, 01:14 PM Dang. Curt, has the unit you have been modified to prevent the dreaded Hybrid failure? Anybody want a dead GP3000? Prehjan 06-26-08, 07:41 PM The chip in question is made of "unobtanium" Martin Curt Palme 06-26-08, 09:51 PM Nope. It works, but who knows for how long. It's not worth spending 2 hours to go through the set. But I'll sell it cheap. As is. |
