I am looking at the 42in samsung 450 series with 3d technology. I really dont understand what it is or how it works. But, i do play alot of PC games and have a blue ray player in my PC (pc specs: q6600, evga 8800gtx, 8gb ram, vista ultiimate 64 bit)

Is there a list of games/movies that are in 3d?

Is this technology worth it? I dont mind sitting straight in line with the monitor or wearing some strange glasses, but i dont want to waste money on the 450 series when i can get the 410 series for about $100 less.

I have done searches, but cant find a list of games/movies that are formated for this.

Lastly - where can i buy this infared thingy or a kit with everything in it?

Thanks for the help

Today . . . . there are no 3D games or 3D movies available on BD.

And you need an add-on device to see 3D. . . . when it comes.

Well, check this place out:

Basically it turns a lot games into 3D without requiring expensive graphical cards with 3-pin 3D output. I tried MS flight simulator, it works. Since you have an nVidia card, so it should be fairly straightforward. Just make sure you use same version of Geforce and stereo drivers.

Never tried their 3D DVD though.

As for display, as I said in 3D thread, any displays/TVs that are capable of 120 Hz refresh rate is fine, no need to stick with only plasma.
