On a lark I looked up the "old" days on the forum, starting back when I was perhaps one of the original 13 Cylons posting on the forum, and ending by the end of 2003/start of 2004 when I found my Earth and became a regular forum member instead of moderating. HA!

There's some interesting historical stuff therein - interviews at the start of V, Inc. (now Vizio), PS Audio, the dawn of the new digital age with Texas Instruments, etc., etc.

Nope, that will be the SEOS Zorro LCoS beamer, specced at somewhere between 200K and 500K:1

When the DBox was just the renowned Nokia digital satellite receiver, back in the previous century.

Member Darin reported 700000:1 for a CRT he measured...

That's incredible;-). Specs are much lower though, 50K max. Anyone here actually has a CRT that still does anything like 100K:1 or more?

And in chassis longevity. 68K hours is the highest I've had in. I retubed it, changed some caps, out the door it went again.
