I like this picture. It shows the projector on the stand, every home theater installation using a DCI projector should aspire to do it right and mount the unit on it's stand. More awareness needs to be fommented with the architectural field for this to take place though.
Think stand... ...I am.
ps. Why is that guy (front center) casting no shadow?
ciputra 06-28-08, 04:25 PM ummm because it's a rear projection system. seen lots of this in our control room setups
CINERAMAX 06-28-08, 05:57 PM And what is that giant christie howitzer doing in the back?
And look at the screen is curved forward.
I don't think is rearpro.
So you do these type of control rooms, that is great!
Art Sonneborn 06-28-08, 06:52 PM And what is that giant christie howitzer doing in the back?
The one in back is an older unit that they are now using simply to heat the room.

CINERAMAX 06-28-08, 06:58 PM lol.
ps. Why is that guy (front center) casting no shadow?
Because it's a rendering and not a picture.
p.s. Or he could be a vampire.

It's not just a unit but multiple projection cubes

Your depth perception is off. Check it again.
Or maybe it's not powered on? Because if it was on, there would be shadow at the front of the room from the guy standing in front.
Pic reminds me of those OLD fake 3D games for the PC with people's faces superimposed.

Dizzman 06-29-08, 01:38 AM if you are not able to tell taht this is a rendering of a control room done PURELY for marketing reasons... get the hell out of the pool!

Is that Space Invaders on their monitors? LOL
Yes it's rather a poor one at that.
ciputra 06-29-08, 02:15 AM Oww just noticed that 'man' beside the CP2000 at the back...that's a corporate projectionist? :D
Jim HTPC 06-29-08, 02:27 AM I've been searching for about an hour. I can't find Waldo. Has anyone seen Waldo?
Alan Gouger 06-29-08, 12:51 PM They are clearly not using Xenon. All the displays are green including the Exit signs.
J.Mike Ferrara 07-01-08, 11:06 AM MAX - if this is your vision of what a home theater should look like, well ... I won't be hiring you when I win the lottery. :p ;) LOL!

If I could sell for 5cents everyone that has promised me an engagement once they win the lottery id by very wealthy.
No the room no, the projector stand on the back of the room in a projection booth, yes. Why not treat the projector with the respect it deserves?
J.Mike Ferrara 07-07-08, 01:17 PM MAX - I promise if I do win, I'll want you to arrange a DLP-LCOS D-Cinema shootout for me. If I decide to go DLP, you'll do the install.
