Hi guys,

Does anyone know of a tutorial for setting up VLC to stream? Specifically on in OSX.

I tried yesterday and was getting an error binding to socket when I tried to stream. Which seemed to be fixed by running VLC as root, although there has to be a better way right?

But then when I tried to connect to the stream from a Windows VLC (which I've never done either) VLC just sits there, no error, no video. Although the video is playing on my Mac.

Any ideas or tips on how to trouble shoot this?

Figured out my problem. Apparently picking a directory to play doesnt use streaming options even if you have streaming selected. Weird.
