First I apollogize if this has been asked before. I searched the remote forum but did not find quite what I was looking for.

Ok so I have this great new universal remote and I have downloaded the software to program it and finally had a chance to paly around with it some over the weekend.

I was able to add some of my equipment which is great but now I want to get into the macros and I need some help, tips, guidance, demos?

My equipment list

Mitsubishi HC-3000 projector
Marantz SR-5001 receiver
Windows XP computer
Xbox 360
PS2
Wii
TEAC CD player
TiVo series 2

I'd like to setup the Watch menu to have listings for:

TV
XBox
DVD
Wii
PS2

I would then like these buttons to be able to power on and off the various equipment. So for example if I wanted to watch TV I could hit the TV button then the power ON button which would run a macro to power on the projector and receiver as well as set them both to the correct video feed.

How do I accomplish this?

My recommendation would be to go to the "Files" section of remotecentral.com, navigate to the MX-900 etc. documentation page and download the programming manual for the MX-900, 950 and TX-1000. The Macro programming section will give you all the information you need.

i know layout of the remote is different for each owner but this is the first remote I have had like this and I am hoping to get some ideas and tips on ways to setup the lists and what to avoid doing.

I guess I am basically asking if there is a website or a section on this site that has files for the remote that you can download and look at the configuration.

Is everything running through the receiver then into the projector? More specifically does the projector need to change inputs? Projectors take a little while to power on and accept commands, sometimes this makes "on" macros really long with delays which can get aggravating.

The MX-900 has watch and listen. I'd recommend using the 'on' button on the main page of watch to power on the projector and equipment need to watch. Then you just keep the actual macros for activities to switch inputs on equipment needed with no power. Keeps things simple and faster, which is the better way to do it until you learn the ins and outs of the remote and software.
