What stands do any of you use since these speakers are quite big? I wanted to use them as side surrounds. I was looking into the Gemini 2 from Omnimount but still looking. I guess I am afraid of them falling off.

Hi there !! I am also looking for some decent speaker stands for polk monitor 40's which iam using as my rare speakers. I just bought Vantage point adjustable large bookshelf speaker stands (Vantage Point SSB30BB) from Best buy - $140.00 per pair, which are better than gemini 2 from circuit city. However i feel that for families with lil babies ( i have a 6 month old son who is soon going to poke these polks :-) i am afraid these vantage point stands dont do any good. The base to hold speakers is the same as gemini but sturdy.

I am still searching for stands with a broader base to hold these large bookshelf speakers and also have cabinets to place some cd's or dvd's ( like a tiny bookshelf).

I am afraid even Polk audio site doesnt sell stands that fit their own products/..Huh..

The other thing i want to check it out is from walmart -

Atlantic "Canoe" Media Cabinet for 231 CDs or 115 DVDs

Any one else has any inputs on this situation?
