I am most likely going to get the LT 890 but wanted to know what the difference was compared to the LT 1000 besides the obvious shape of the 1000 and the 3.5" screen. Is there anything thing else that the 1000 has that the 890 doesn't? I checked online and I couldn't find anything except what I said above about the shape and screen size.

890 controls zwave devices directly. 1000 doesn't. just has extender support. 890pro has some additional functionality.

The 890 also comes with the $99 extender and the 1000 (and 890 pro) doesn't.

Harmony 1000 is extremely slow and sluggish to use. They are also known to be very problematic. H890 is a much more solid solution compared to the 1000, but in the end they are both cheaply made remotes.
