The item appears to ship from China.

What do you think?

I think "you get what you pay for".

It does say 12 megapixel sensor, but it includes a "TV output cable". The video recording ability is probably like that of many digital cameras, 640x480 30 frames per second at best.

Yeah the 640x480 would suck a bit, but 30 frames I'm okay with. Lotta movies are shot in that or less.

Do you think it's a good deal at $75? Or is there anything better at that price?

I'd really only use it to shoot some video game footage for an online project to upload to Youtube and Gametrailers.

Fixed lens, no zoom at all. How close do you want to be? There's no expansion slot, and the description doesn't mention capacity of internal memory. At 12 MP, I imagine your recording time is severely limited.

Why don't you just buy a Kodak point-n-shoot digital camera that will also do video? They cost about the same price.

As elifino said, I would look at the video abilities of known brand-name digital cameras if standard-def video is good enough for you, and you are trying to spend less than US$100.
