Does anyone know why the Sony Style website says that the HDR-CX7 is "No longer available for purchase"?

That's why I went over to the Canon side and bought a HF100.

My first departure from Sony for digital pics in nearly 10 years.....

Not sure I understand why the CX-7 discontinuation to give way to a better camcorder (CX-12) is a reason to switch to Canon. But anyways, I'm sure you won't regret your purchase, the HF100 is a killer deal right now. :)

A lack of patience and a desire to see if anyone else can do what my old DV camcorder does.

Besides, I have enough Sony for now.
