Will this be the beginning of a new trend? Do you think this will have a significent affect on sales even though the mass majority of Xbox 360 owners already have a HDD?

It is not the first game to require a hard drive.

Wasn't Burnout Paradise one of them. I think a few more.

As mush as 360 owners by games and still holds a record rate, I don't think there should be any concern.

Burnout Paradise only required it for ONLINE multiplayer.

They haven't recieved confirmation about both titles so we don't know what the decision is about the requirments now. Just have to wait when they decide to get us the final spec.

Its about time. If a harddrive is present, then it should be used. And contrary to what some will argue there is no such thing as a 360 owner who is **not** able to play Soul Caliber. Because the harddrive will always available as an optional upgrade to ANY 360 owner.

So for those who dont want to play soul caliber.. then youre perfectly fine. For those who do, then consider purchasing a harddrive as part of the price to play.

Times have changed people. Consoles of this generation are not a 1 shot and done deal. We've already seen 4 different PS3 hardware offerings.. and 3 different 360 hardware offerings.. The only thing we've learned is that these consoles (and their specs) will continue to change slightly year after year to adapt to the market, developers and profitability.
