All:
I am finishing out the basement with a dedicated home theater. The electrician jumped a 100 amp subpanel from the main 200 amp panel for basement electrical service. No wires have been run yet. My concern is that the subpanel is on the opposite side of the wall where the screen and the in-wall speakers will go. More to the point, based on screen size the in-wall speakers (the left one) will be in the next stud bay where the subpanel is installed. Is 16 inches of distance and a 2 x 4 in between the subpanel and the left in-wall speaker enough distance or will the electrical fields around the subpanel affect speaker performance. I am not worried about the speaker wires crossing electrical wires, just the proximity of the subpanel to the speaker. I can relocate the panel but to do so will require some difficulty.
Thanks
Todd
