I do not have any receiver for my cable TV, just a cable that screws into my television, is there any way I can watch television from my PJ? It does not have any place for the cable to go in. Is there an adapter or something? Thanks.

VCR will work.

You need a tuner that can give you a video output to run to your projector. That's why Sisyphus suggested a VCR. Plug the cable into the VCR, tune the VCR to the channel you want and connect the Video out to the projector. That or a cable settop box.

Or you could go the HTPC with an HDTV tuner route like I'm doing. I have the OnAir HDTV GT and it's working pretty well so far. It connects to your PC with a USB cable. I believe thre is a thread about it somewhere on these forums.

Our personal experience is that you will be disappointed with standard definition (non HD) cable. I suspect the reason for this is when you try to stretch a low resolution image across a very big screen (ours is about 120 inch diagonal) it just doesn't look good and so side-by-side with a tv you probably won't be happy.

That's why we have a 56in HD TV for watching DirecTV standard def programming (the cable is so low quality I just can't stand it on the TV nor the Projector).

We did purchase a set top box type HD tuner receiver and now enjoy HD TV over-the-air for free which looks outstanding via our projector.

But and as already posted you can use a VCR or a TV or any gadget that has a coax type input and use whatever its' output to feed your projector but IMP S-Video the lowest quality to connect to your projector and be prepared to be disappointed if you use a large screen as we do.
