OK, I am just kidding. It is a great projector, and if you set it up correctly with limited lighting, etc, you will love it. Also, that ebay 25% off deal is amazing, I upgraded my whole home theater with it.

btw, I have temporarily switched from a 1080p to a 720p projector and found that resolution is not as big a deal as people say it is. Color and contrast mean a lot too. 720p can easily look better than 1080p. Just my opinion, so enjoy the HC1500!

I also got an HC-1500 through the eBay deal (35% off). And, 4 Speakercraft AIM speakers. I couldn't find a great sub deal or I would have jumped on that too. What a great deal though.

I ended up buying an AV123 xsub last week on sale too. And, some monoprice in-ceiling surrounds (I can't decide on going with 5.1 or 7.1).

If you bought your projector through the same seller I did, they were great. I got it in three days and it was NIB. I have only had a chance to fire it up once in our temporary living space (on the wall). I can't wait to get in our house later this month and get the whole theater going.

Now, I just need a good 100"+ screen solution for $200 - 300 and I will have a great "budget" theater.

I bought my 100" 16x9 electric screen with 2 remotes for under $200 from TigerDirect.
Monoprice also sells electric screens..........

Sucker!!!!!!!!!! The HC1500 is a lousy entry level projector. Did you not do any research at all?

Of course, I'm kidding. It's awesome but, here is the real bad news, once you set it up you will want a nice screen to project it on. Then comes the receiver and the rest of the sound system and let me tell you, sound is many times more complex than video. There are way too many formats and stuff.

So you may have gotten your PJ for a few hundred but by the time you are done you will have spent at the very minimum 5K. That assuming you search around for best deals on every component.

It's sweet though. ESPN HD, CNN HD, and movies look great. That's what I use mine for.
