I just got a new HD TV in our bedroom, along with our HD TV in the main family room. My issue is I'd like to run an HD feed to the new TV while still keeping an HD feed on our main TV. Can this be done with one VIP 622? Do the component and HDMI outputs for TV1 each contain different feeds of HD material? Or am I going to have to split the HDMI signal out of TV1 to BOTH HD TVs? In essence mandating that the same HD program be watched on BOTH HD TVs at the same time?

No the HDMI and YPbPr contain the same HD Programming. There is no way to make them split feeds. You can only watch one HD Program and one SD program at the same time.
