I can record content on hbo channels to my computer with capdvhs. However, I used to be able to record hbo on demand content but for some reason I can't anymore. Anyone know why this is?

They finally got around to flagging your HBO On Demand Channel correctly. At some point, they will do the same to the normal HBO Channels and you will loose that ability (given your current method) as well.

Nonsense.

HBO has stated multiple times that they have no issue with recording HBO, but recording HBO On Demand is, by definition, something they want to prevent because that's the definition of "On Demand" for them; when you want to see it, you select it.

Perhaps it is you that needs to read their website.

They require all MSO's in their contract to employee 5c = Copy Once which will allow 1 copy to a DVHS Tape Machine. It WILL NOT allow you to use the method listed in Post #1. Any MSO that has not implemented copy-protection is in violation of its contract and could be held to copyright damages.

Furthermore, VOD is always flagged Copy Never.
