You can only play as Ken or Ryu. HD sprites look insanely good, but all of the animations are the exact same as the original, so sometimes I think it looks kinda... off.

You can choose between the original and HD sprites.

There is no widescreen, but a zoomed 16:9 mode that actually works well.

Haven't found many matches on live yet.

If I'm not mistaken, it was good from the beginning and announced well before it was released. You should be able to find the download for SF somewhere. (Haven't purchased it so not sure myself; just know the deal was announced long ago.)

- I would imagine that it would be a nightmare to fight against Vega and his wall jumps in a cropped mode.

Thanks, I didn't notice it in the games menu at the bottom. It's clear and in a different font but I still missed it before. The link downloads SSFII as a beta demo.
