Hi, I just got a used Denon AVR-3805 with the dreaded RC-969 "blue" remote. The remote doesn't respond to motion or control any Denon units. Matter of fact, it has something little rattleing around inside of it!

Does anyone know how to take the remote apart? I've removed the two little screws by the batteries but it feels just as locked as it did with the screws in place.

The best and only way to take this remote apart is with a sledge hammer.

It is a complete POS. If you can't get a decent third party remote from URC or RTI, then you can try to get a remote from another Denon receiver. They will all pretty much work.
