I kind of searched around but didn't see anything specifically targeting what I was looking for. Basically I am looking to get ideas for built in hidden compartments. If you are a fan of the Sopranos you know Tony had a hidden compartment of guns in a pillar in his house. While I am not hiding guns, I would like to have a hidden safe/vault. Doesn't have to be too large, just a great way to hide some family valuables and since I am in the framing phase it seemed best to try and incorporate it now. So any ideas/recommendations?

I did google, and saw the outlet one, was more or less looking for ideas that were adapted into people's builds, i.e. the moving movie poster frame(forget who is doing that one) Guess I will have to see if one jumps out at me when building!

I am doing that... and I refer to it as Project X.. as I cannot reveal anything else about it until it is finished :)

It should be complete either this weekend or next weekend... For framing that, you need at least 28 inches width if you plan on 27x40 posters. (I did 28.15" rough opening).
