I have Comcast.

I just got a DCH 3416 to replace my 6412. The box is connected to the TV via HDMI. The box seems to freeze up regularly after 10-15 mins of watching tv. The program will continue to play but I can't change channels, go into the menu or do anything unless I unplug the box. Sometimes the video will freeze but the audio keeps playing.

After I unplug the box and it starts back up it will work fine for a little while but then freeze again.

Is this a defective box? Should I exchange it for another? Thanks.

I have the same box. mine seems to freeze up every great once in a while but only while flipping through the channel guide, has never locked up on programming. shouldnt cost ya a thing to get it swaped out, go for it, Crapcast is to damn expensive to have to deal wth faulty equipment!!

How does one check the firmware version on a DCH-3416?
