I should also say for the record that this is from CAG and slickdeals
darklordjames 07-05-08, 10:18 PM Pretty rad! I'm testing if a second email account can help get some more points. :)
EDIT: Yup! Thanks 500 free Points!
EDIT2: Here's the important part of the terms.
"Microsoft Points (“Points”) may be earned in this Promotion, while supplies last, by completing up to a maximum of two (2) activities in any Calendar Day of the Entry Period as follows:
100 Points for registering for the Promotion for the first time (limit one (1) registration per entrant/email address during Entry Period); Thereafter, 50 Points can be earned each day for creating and entering a ‘ Dream Car’ (limit one (1) entry per entrant/email address per Calendar Day during the Entry Period); and
50 Points can be earned for every one (1) “rating” made by entrant of a ‘Dream Car’ Entry posted on the Site’s gallery (limit one (1) rating/entrant/email address per Calendar Day during the Entry Period). There is a maximum limit of 2,000 Points per entrant/email address during the Entry Period (while supplies for the Promotion last up to an aggregate total of 24,000,000)"
nnarum23 07-05-08, 11:08 PM The link for the site isn't working :(
EDIT: Nevermind, got it to work! Thanks :)
After rating someone, will they just email the 50 point code?

CaCHooKa Man 07-06-08, 12:52 AM i signed up and got the email but theres no code in it
Sure you checked the box for the code? Sure you looked hard enough at the email? Sure it was the right email? Both mine so far have had the codes.
darklordjames 07-06-08, 01:03 AM "i signed up and got the email but theres no code in it"
I would guess that you didn't check the box saying "Gimme Points!".

I know someone else that tried this and didn't get the code either... Maybe MS is cracking down?
CaCHooKa Man 07-06-08, 01:10 AM the area where the code is supposed to be is empty. i sent them an e-mail and they sent an autoresponse saying that theyre closed now and will respond on monday.

waterboy419 07-06-08, 08:51 AM it seems people were abusing it, getting thousands of points so they stopped.
CaCHooKa Man 07-07-08, 04:38 PM i got this email response

Our supply of Microsoft® Points codes good for 100 Points provided as a reward for registering for the MSN Autos Dream, Design, Drive Challenge was depleted over the weekend. We are sorry for this unexpected delay and thank you for your patience.

darklordjames 07-07-08, 06:33 PM It's pretty amazing that they are going to even offer more points given what I already quoted above:
"There is a maximum limit of 2,000 Points per entrant/email address during the Entry Period (while supplies for the Promotion last up to an aggregate total of 24,000,000)"
If they exhausted their supply for whatever, then they have no obligation to take care of the remaining people. This is pure rad on Microsoft's part.
While they have 24 million points, the promotion runs 2 months so it would make sense that they funnel them out somehow so they aren't all gone the first weekend.
I think those with photoshop have an unfair advantage.

Unfortunately the system was abused, and I don't believe they have points left. I read some people signed up over 100 times (ie: received 10,000 points). I'm hoping they have some points left, so I'll rate and enter a car each day (for 100 points) for the next month as it only takes a few minutes... then hope they send me a code for all the points I've accumulated legally, without breaking the rules. But I wouldn't be surprise if I don't receive anything.
