Considering the old parabolics are gone, (I thought someone on this forum was going to start making them, but I havne't heard any more about it) anyone ever tried using a C band dish and retrofitting it for such an application (for UHF, of course... VHF wouldn't work)? For those REALLY in the middle of nowhere, it might be a way to receive OTA if you can get gain numbers over 20 with such a setup. Would one just put a couple bowties at the focal point? Anyone experimented with this?
